Why connect
What Claude (and ChatGPT) can do once Argus is connected
Without Argus, they're smart chatbots in a vacuum. With Argus, they actually know your life and can act on it.
Long-term memory that follows you
Every Claude chat normally starts from zero. Argus lets Claude remember facts about your family, home, preferences, and routines across every conversation — and every AI app you use.
Try: "Remind me — what did I tell you about my wife's favorite flowers?"
Answers from your real calendar, email & Drive
Instead of generic advice, Claude reads your actual schedule, inbox, and files to answer specifically about your life.
Try: "Did the electrician ever email me back? And what's on my calendar Thursday afternoon?"
Real reminders that actually reach you
Vanilla Claude can only suggest. Argus lets it schedule real SMS reminders that hit your phone at exactly the right moment.
Try: "Text me Sunday at 6am to leave for the airport."
A planner, not just an advisor
Claude can create tasks, reschedule them around your meetings, and write changes back to your day — not just talk about them.
Try: "Take everything I didn't finish this week and reschedule around my Tuesday meetings."
Custom skills & routines
Save recipes inside Claude Projects or Custom GPTs so a single phrase runs a full workflow through Argus.
Try: "Morning brief — pull today's calendar, top tasks, and unread priority email."
One connection, works everywhere
Set it up once and the same powers unlock in ChatGPT, Cursor, and any other MCP-compatible app. No re-setup, same memory.
Try: "Try any of these prompts in ChatGPT — same answers, same memory."
What you can do once it's connected
Just talk to your assistant like you normally would. Here are some real examples you can say out loud on day one.
Plan your day
- "What's on my plate today?"
- "Add a task to call the plumber tomorrow at 9am."
- "Move everything I didn't finish to next Monday."
Remember anything
- "Remember that my wife's favorite flowers are peonies."
- "What do you remember about my kids?"
- "Save this: our garage code is 4821."
Text yourself reminders
- "Text me Sunday at 6am to leave for the airport."
- "Remind me to take out the trash tonight at 8pm."
Search & summarize email
- "Find recent emails from my accountant with attachments."
- "Summarize the last thread from Sarah about the proposal."
Pull up docs & files
- "Find my 2026 budget in Drive and summarize the highlights."
- "Open the onboarding doc and pull out the action items."
Look at your calendar
- "What marketing meetings do I have this week?"
- "When am I free for a 30-minute call on Thursday?"
Connect Argus to your AI app
Pick your app below and follow the steps. Every path is the same: paste the Argus URL, sign in, approve the connection.
https://argusassistant.com/mcp- Open Claude (desktop or web) and go to Settings → Connectors.
- Click Add custom connector.
- Paste the Argus URL above into the Remote MCP server URL field and give it a friendly name like "Argus".
- Claude will pop open a browser tab to sign you into Argus. Sign in with the same account you use here.
- You'll see a consent screen asking you to approve Claude — click Approve. That's it.
Once connected, start a new chat with Claude and try: "What do I have going on today?"
How to talk to Argus once it's connected
You don't need special commands. Just talk. Here are a few starter prompts to try in Claude or ChatGPT after you connect:
- →"Give me a quick briefing on my day."
- →"What have I told you to remember about my family?"
- →"Text me at 4pm to pick up the dry cleaning."
- →"Any urgent-looking emails I should reply to today?"
- →"Find the 'Q4 plan' doc in my Drive and give me the top 5 takeaways."
- →"Move all of tomorrow's tasks to Friday."
Tip: your assistant will occasionally ask permission before Argus runs an action (like creating a task or scheduling a text). That's expected — just say yes.
Take it further with custom skills, GPTs & Projects
Claude Projects, Claude Skills, and ChatGPT Projects/GPTs all let you save a set of instructions that get applied every time. Pair them with your Argus connection and you've built yourself a personal command center.
Below are three ready-to-use "recipes." Copy the instructions into a new Claude Skill, Claude Project, ChatGPT Project, or custom GPT — anywhere you can save persistent instructions — then make sure the Argus connector is turned on for that space.
Morning briefing
Every morning while you drink coffee. You are my morning briefing assistant. Using Argus, do the following in order and give me one short summary: 1. List my tasks due today. 2. List my calendar events for today. 3. Find any emails from the last 24 hours that look urgent or from people I know. 4. Remind me of anything relevant you have in memory. Keep the whole thing under 200 words. Bullet points are fine. End with the single most important thing I should do first.
Weekly review
Every Friday afternoon or Sunday night. You are my weekly review coach. Using Argus: 1. List everything I completed this week (tasks + notable calendar events). 2. List anything I set for next week already. 3. Pull anything from memory that I said was a goal or a priority. Then ask me: what went well, what didn't, and what are the 3 most important things for next week? Once I answer, create the 3 tasks in Argus for next Monday.
Trip prep
A day or two before any trip. You are my trip prep assistant. When I tell you I'm traveling somewhere: 1. Look at my calendar for the trip dates and summarize what's on it. 2. Search Drive for any docs related to the destination or trip. 3. Search email for confirmations (flight, hotel, rental). 4. Suggest a packing checklist based on the length and purpose of the trip. 5. Schedule an SMS reminder 2 hours before I need to leave for the airport.
Privacy & control
- Only you. When an AI app connects, it acts as your Argus account and only sees your data — never anyone else's.
- No keys to lose. There are no tokens for you to copy, store, or paste. Authentication is handled by a secure sign-in every time you connect a new app.
- Revoke anytime. You can disconnect a specific app from your Argus settings without affecting the others.
- You approve actions. Most assistants will confirm with you before Argus creates tasks, sends texts, or changes anything.
Troubleshooting
- "Not authenticated" or the connection stopped working: just disconnect and reconnect Argus in your AI app. Sign-in tokens expire once in a while — reconnecting takes 10 seconds.
- Argus says "no Google account connected": visit Argus → Connections and link Gmail, Calendar, Drive, or Docs first.
- SMS reminders aren't going through: set up texting under Settings → Text messaging .
- Your AI app doesn't have a "Connectors" or "MCP" section: it may not support custom connectors yet, or your plan might not include them. Claude (paid plans), ChatGPT (Plus and above), and Cursor all support this today.
