Data & AI Training Policy
Last updated: June 3, 2026
1. Our commitment
Argus explicitly does not use any customer or user data to build, train, or improve machine learning or AI models. Your emails, calendar events, files, tasks, notes, and chat messages are used solely to operate the Service on your behalf — never to train models, ours or anyone else's.
2. What we mean by "your data"
"Your data" includes everything Argus reads, stores, or generates while acting on your behalf:
- Email content, calendar events, files, tasks, and meeting notes pulled from connected services
- Chat messages with the Argus assistant
- Briefings, recaps, meeting prep, and other artifacts Argus generates for you
- OAuth tokens and account credentials used to connect third-party services
- Profile information you provide directly (name, email, timezone, preferences)
3. How AI providers process your data
To answer your questions and run your routines, Argus sends relevant context to large-language-model providers (currently Google Gemini and OpenAI) through the Lovable AI Gateway. These providers process the request under their API/enterprise terms, which prohibit using API inputs and outputs to train their models. Data sent for inference is not retained by these providers for training purposes.
4. Subprocessors
We use a small set of trusted infrastructure providers to deliver the Service. Each is bound by their own data-protection terms:
- Lovable Cloud — application hosting and managed database
- Composio — third-party connector infrastructure (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, etc.). Composio likewise states that it does not use customer or user data to build, train, or improve machine learning or AI models
- Google & OpenAI — AI inference, accessed through the Lovable AI Gateway under API terms that prohibit training on customer data
- Stripe — payment processing
5. Your controls
- Disconnect any third-party service at any time from the Connections page; we revoke the token and stop reading from that service immediately
- Delete your account from Settings to remove your data from our database
- OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and scoped per user — no Argus team member or other user can read your tokens or your connected-service data
- Request a data export or deletion at any time by contacting us
6. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to how we handle your data or to our commitment around AI training, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above, and notify active customers by email.
